I am exhausted. Another day off would really help. Everyone is doing well. Bear is a smart boy and learning every day. Stella is patient and has not laid into him for anything. He got to see his Grandparents yesterday (they are the folks I got him from). Stella also got spoiled. They are dog lovers. They brought treats for both pups. Stella was over the moon because she had more people to love on her. Both pups played and got plenty of love.
My cold refuses to let go. I was up at 7am with a coughing fit. I ended up coming out into the living room and sleeping sitting up. Bear came with. It is the uncontrollable tickle that is the major problem. Anything and nothing can set it off. Nothing helps to calm it. Not drinking something, not throat/cough lozenges, not cough syrup or swallowing. I just cough and cough and freak everyone out. Like just now. There was nothing I could do to stop it. It continued for several minutes. It is very frustrating. It also seems to happen at the most inopportune times. Like when I am dead asleep or out in the midst of a lot of people.
Tonight will be another test for the pups. It will be about 7 hours before I get home tonight after Chris leaves. I am hoping that all will be well. Sadly I won’t have much time with them before we have to be back in bed. I am hoping that they will do what they are now for Chris tomorrow. Namely sleep and stay out of trouble. Bear wants to be doing something but he’s not pushing it. I say, “We have to be quiet. Daddy is trying to sleep.” That seems to get the point across and he settles back down. When Chris gets home at night he barks. Which is good because he is letting me know that there is someone coming in the house. But the problem comes in that he will bark every time he hears Chris until Chris settles in somewhere.
I guess I should get this posted. I am fighting to stay awake. I hope you have a great day! Thanks for reading and stay safe!
