The day has dawned a soft yellow white. There is thick cloud cover but the sun has turned it into a soft butter yellow trying to shine through. The days are finally starting to warm up and keep the nights warm as well. It will be in the 60s (15.5C ish) and 70s (21C ish) this weekend. This will be a nice change. I may actually be able to leave the plants out instead of putting them out in the morning and pulling them back in at night. I think one of the orange pips is growing so that would be awesome to get those out on a regular basis to help them grow.
I want to work on some random writing things today but I don’t know how much time I will have. I need to get Chris up at 10am to do some running before he goes to work (unfortunately he is working another six day week). I’m not sure how long before he needs to leave that we will be gone. If it is a few hours (meaning we will get home with barely enough time to unload from all the running) then I will spend the next few hours keeping the kids busy since they will have been alone. My writing time has completely swapped over the years. Before I was best at night after everyone had gone to bed. Now it seems to be the morning. But I need to move out of my comfort zone and use the time as I have it. Once this is “over” and I am back to work there is no telling what time frame I will have available to write.
I don’t know if I should bring anything to do on the run. I might bring my fountain pen and a notebook. I really want to wear my new high tops out today but I know we will be getting dirty moving stuff and I don’t want to destroy them on my first wear. (They are a beautiful soft sunrise orange and I love them! The last pair I had was in high school and EVERYONE remembers my high tops. 😉 ) Sooooo I will probably wear my scruffy tennis shoes for this outing. I am still really tempted though. I could maybe spray them with Scotch Guard but that needs to sit for 24 hours so that won’t help me today. Besides I liked being able to just toss my high tops into the washer to clean them.
Well it is almost time to wake Chris to get this party started. I hope you and yours are safe. Thanks for reading!
