Today is the first day of March. I am grateful to be that much closer to my warm weather but shocked at how quickly the year is passing. Friday is Mom’s birthday. I don’t know if she wants to do anything or not. I planned to ask her today. The rest of the day will involve the outside if the weather prediction is correct. It was sunny for most of the day yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today with temperatures reaching to almost 50F (10C). I am very excited about that!
I will also need to sit down with the novel. I have been putting things together in my head over the past few nights and things need to be put down on paper. Even if it is only a paragraph or two. I will also try to get the final draft of the one review done and start on the other (since I am almost finished with the short story collection). I think I have been dragging my feet on the novel because I have a major tragedy that I have to put my main character through and it is gonna hurt to write it. But this is central to the story so it needs to be done.
If the weather is good then I can leave the sliding glass door open so the kids can go in and out and hopefully won’t be as demanding as yesterday. They wanted almost constant attention and playtime. I caught Stella Marie pulling up one of my plants! Little shit! I have no idea why she had to pick on that poor plant. It is the second time it has been pulled out (the first was an accident on Essie’s part because a blanket helped). I reburied it, talked to it and gave it some water. It worked last time let’s hope it works again. It is an annual that I have managed to keep alive over the winter so I want it to survive. I lost most of my summer plants as fall and winter progressed this past year. I still have a few that I brought in that made it.
I need to wrap this up and get to work on the novel. Even if I only jot some ideas down. But I really need to write that scene. I guess we’ll see what happens. Thanks for reading! I hope you have a great day!
