Fall Is Here

I got my article done and sent in.  It ended up being about a two hour meeting.  Which really wasn’t that bad.  Atleast it was interesting.  The fun came after.  It had been raining on and off all day and it seemed to be “on” for the trip home.  Once I got home I realized that the house key was not with me (fortunately I keep one stashed outside).  Once inside the house I found that the kids had gotten into the trash and spread it all over the house.  The upside is I had my Jeep.  Chris rode his bike in and managed to miss most of the rain (his truck is still in the shop).  If I had ridden my bike I would’ve been a drown rat even with full gear.  It was pouring down hard enough to not be able to see at times.  Still I’m glad I got out of the house for a bit.

I didn’t get to bed til late and I intended to get up early to do the article, just not as early as I did.  Essie got me up to go out about 25 minutes before my alarm was due to go off.  By the time she was done I had like 15 minutes so there really was no point in trying to go back to bed.

What kept me sane last night was they finally put the remaining episodes of this season’s Dragula (think RuPaul meets the Rob Zombie) on Amazon.  So I watched one before bed.  Truthfully I am just glad the weekend is here.  It still feels weird to say that after working retail for so long.

Essie is limping more than usual.  That doesn’t bode well for winter for her.  It’s like not that Dante is no longer with us she is just aging so rapidly.  She turned 9 years old this July.  My heart can’t take losing another pup.  I’m not sure how Moose would be either.  Those two are pretty close.

By the clock I guess I’d better get moving.  I hope everyone has a great day!
