Storms, Heat, Humidity and Scared Pittys

I’m not sure how this is going to go.  We are up way before normal due to a bad thunderstorm heading through.  I have three Pitbulls rotating through my lap shaking.  When I got up to go to the bathroom it looked like someone had painted everything in a saffron yellow.  Except there was something sickly in it.  Now the yellow has gone to be replaced with iron grey and the rumble of thunder.  I think I will be leaving for work in the thick of the storm.  I hate to do that to the kids.  I have a fan on as well as the AC on low in hopes of covering as much sound as possible.  It is already hot outside at 6am.  After this storm rolls through temperatures here are going to be close to 100F (37C) so humidity will be extreme.

I am supposed to go into town after work.  I have to get the kids their medicine.  I was gong to do coffee with Mom but I think I will just come directly home.  The weather is going to be too extreme.  Mom and her girls don’t have AC.  Just fans.  She should stay home with them.

The sky is turning black.  I hope power doesn’t go out but as severe as this storm looks it probably will.  That will really set the kids off.  They will be doing everything but breaking down the bedroom door on Chris.  I have just covered up Essie with my sweater to calm her.  Moose is back behind me.  Stella has a frantic look to her.  This isn’t going to go well.  The rain has begun.  I feel so bad for them.  I wish I could stay home to comfort them then go to work.  I have people coming to get their cars at 8am (when I get there).  I wonder if everyone will show up on time or at all.  Especially if the storm is bad.

I’m glad I showered last night.  I feel better this morning for it.  I almost had a medical emergency though.  Seems my blood sugar was especially low due to my monthly visitor being excessively heavy the past two days (sorry if this is too much information).  There was concern that I might need a blood transfusion.  Such is life in the fast lane!  I do feel better this morning but still a little rough around the edges.  I am going to do my best to keep myself from doing too much.  But with the heat it might not matter.  I will bring things to snack on at any rate.

I am going to stop here and post this incase the electricity and everything does go out.  I hope everyone has a great day!  Be safe!
